Rosina is responding to the treatment, her lungs are clearer and the amount of oxygen they need to give her has come way down. Now she needs to heal and get back up to the surface. A big challenge for her is that she's very weak from being in the ICU so long (almost three weeks). But otherwise, everything else seems to be working okay and there aren't any other outstanding problems.xo

Dear Peter,
Have been checking the blog obsessively since your last entry to monitor Rosina and can not tell you how much we all appreciate the constant flow of information. It lets all of us hold her hand and know when to squeeze a little bit harder. Am so relieved that the surface is closer and clearer.
Much love,
Diane
Keep heading for the shore, Rosina-- we're all waiting there with open arms!!!!
Huge hugs to the whole Hastings clan from the Bernsteins (J,S,E,M)

Yo Pete - A rocky road for sure, but there are more flat rocks ahead - and maybe one tilted downhill.
Love, John & Margo

Hallelujah Baby!
Peter, thanks for the update. I'm so glad to hear about the improvement in Rosina's condition. It sounds like good cause for optimism.
Improvement=Success.
Rosina, you are a champion.

Rô...volta,volta,volta volta,volta
volta, volta, volta.
Love,
Zélia
rosina and peter,
keep swimming....keep breathing.....we love you! egv et al......
I read this with joy! I have been holding my breath. If only that could help....we would all have a long lifetime of breaths stored up for Rosina.
If you remember your bible stories you will remember that after 40 days and 40 nights God gave Noah a rainbow to show him that the rain was finished. Is that why this blog is subtitled no rain, no rainbows? Lets pray that this is Rosina's Rainbow day! Then soon, the dove will come back with an olive branch in her beak, and the Hastings will be able to go HOME!! Love always, Nancy and Barnet
